Symbolic meanings for numbers within the Bible usually fall within one of three categories. Numbers whose meaning is very clearly shown in the text of the Bible. The top of this list would be 666, which Revelation explains to us is 'the number of a man'.Numbers whose meanings are indirectly shown by the text of the Bible. Numbers whose meanings can only be seen indirectly and by inference.

In general the following list is best read sequentially. Some of the text builds upon what has been said and discovered about previous numbers. However, explore as you wish.
